Munic Gems N.V.
Indicator Minerals Inc. announced on March 18, 2008 that it had entered into a Letter Agreement outlining a long-term strategic partnership with Munic Gems N.V., one of the world's leading diamantaires based in Antwerp, Belgium.
The goal of the partnership is to identify, acquire and develop diamond projects globally by coupling Indicator's experienced management and strong technical expertise with Munic Gems' extensive network of contacts and financial capabilities.
Munic Gems is amongst the world's largest rough diamond marketers by volume, and is also active in diamond and jewellery manufacturing and distribution. The company was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium, the world's diamond trading centre. Munic Gems' Antwerp rough trading office is the largest exporter of rough diamonds in Belgium. The company also has offices in India and the US, and has a strong distribution network of over 500 customers in emerging and established markets.
Teck Cominco Limited (TCK.A, TCK.B - TSX / TCK - NYSE)
Indicator Minerals Inc. announced on June 2, 2006 that it had entered into an agreement with Teck Cominco Limited whereby Teck Cominco is required to spend $14 million over four years to earn a 51% interest in the diamond rights on Indicator's 80%-owned Darby Property in Nunavut Territory. Teck Cominco has the technical and financial capability to advance the program quickly, demonstrated by the level of Teck Cominco's spending commitment and belief in the Darby Project's technical merits.
Hunter Exploration Group
Hunter is one of Canada's most successful private exploration groups and has an established track record in the mineral industry as an innovative group specializing in generative exploration projects. Hunter has taken a leading role in regional diamond exploration in northern Canada since 1992 and has been involved in more than 24 kimberlite discoveries and the acquisition of over 30 million acres.
In 2001, Indicator Minerals acquired an 80% interest in the Darby, Barrow and Grail Projects from Hunter Exploration Group. Under the terms of the agreement Hunter retains a 20% interest in the projects, carried to the completion of a feasibility study. Indicator has a first right of refusal if Hunter elects to vend its interest.
North Country Gold(NCG:TSX-V)
North Country Gold is a Canadian based exploration and development company with controlling interests in highly mineralized gold districts on three continents. The Company conducts year-round exploration in geopolitically safe countries and continues to expand its current gold resource base of over 1.5 million ounces. Shareholders benefit from the success of an experienced technical team exploring for high grade gold deposits on the Company's massive land positions in Argentina and Canada and through the advancement of a near-term production gold project in Australia.
Indicator Minerals Inc. has several agreements with North Country Gold. Indicator has an option to earn a 70% interest in the diamond rights to the Borden Project, located on Baffin Island and the Kellett Property, located south of the hamlet of Kugaaruk in Nunavut Territory.
